Before: The spectacular Pleurophyllum hookeri, a native Macquarie Island "megaherb", which produces large purple flowerstalks every couple of years.
After: Pleurophyllum plants after grazing. Along with Macquarie Island cabbage and tussock grass, they are the favoured food of rabbits on Macquarie Island.
